hi guys

i had my interview today,but no visa yet cuz there was a missing document..

i will explain,

my husband has a co-sponsor which is his brother,they both filed an I864 and everything went smooth...until the interview date, the officer, told me that since the Co-Sponsor has his wife on his tax return, the wife must fill the I864A ( joint sponsor) ...which we didnt..i was so mad and still so mad , cuz this missing file, could have been sent to us from the NVC not the embassy, ..i think the NVC skiped this i have no clue why...

well now i have a couple of question regarding the I864A

1-on question (10) they ask for the individual income, she must fill her own individual income or the joint individual income??i mean the same as her husband filled on the I864??

2-question 11 , is pretty ODD for me, cuz the officer told me that i just have t bring this form, but on question(11) it says, i must attach her tax return..so im pretty confused here...

can u please help cuz my husband already booked a flight for me on the 22 nd august i dont know if i can make it, im so confused :crying:

this is just one of the reasons why flight shldnt be booked until visa is in hand.

I am also working on a joint sponsorship, so when I read your posting it made me think, so I called NVC. Does your joint sponsor make enough to sponsor alone without his wife? Did he include his W-2s? I just spoke with an agent at NVC, and I was told that if the joint sponsor filed his 2010 tax return jointly with his wife, and he can show how much of the final income is his by submitting W-2s, and that amount is enough to be a joint sponsor by himself, then it is not necessary for the wife to complete an I-864a. If, however, the amount is not enough, then he will need to include his wife in the sponsorship in order to bring the income requirement up to an acceptable level, and she will need to fill out an 1-864a and submit her W-2s as well. I hope this helps. Hang in there. It'll make you crazy if you let it.

well our sponsor make waaaaaaaay enough money to support 20 persons, but in fact the officer in the interview explained since the wife's name appear in the tax return then she should fill the I864A,
