Visiting my fiance/beneficiary

Finally booked my flight to see my fiance in England next month, yay! My question is, when I go through immigration there, should I tell them that I'm there to visit him and let them know that we've filed for the K1? Thinking about just bringing the NOA1 and my ties/commitments here so they know I'm not planning to immigrate there. Thank you in advance for the input.

No need to tell them all your business. You're allowed to travel and visit anywhere you want. Just present your passport so they can stamp it as you would anyway.

I would just add that, if asked, tell them you are sight seeing and visiting friends.

Just answer truthfully whatever question they ask you. Good idea to have the NOA1 on hand just so you can present it if they do ask you too many questions.

Contrary to the above post, don't bring your NOA1, you won't need it. It will just be another piece of paper that you will have to keep track of while you're there. I travel a lot and was in London in May. To the best of my recollection, when entering, they asked the purpose of my visit. I said vacation. They asked where I'm staying. I said a hotel - The Sumner - near Marble Arch. They stamped it and that was it. They may not ask you anything at all or just basic questions like that. Just don't respond with, "I'm a prospective terrorist and I'm coming to scout some locations for a bombing" and you will be fine. If it was recommended that people carry the NOA1 with them when they travel, they would tell us to do that. As it is, the NOA1 does not mean anything other than a receipt of your petition and is not going to get you out of any jams.
