I'm in the process of filling out the DS-230 form and was wondering which application of support form to fill out, I-864 or I-864EZ? This is for an 1-130 application for child coming from China. Thanks.

Read the three questions at the top of the i-864EZ carefully and interpret them literally. If you can answer all three with a yes, us the EZ. If any question, use the I-864, If current income is sufficient, there's not a lot of difference because you would leave any asset related questions blank anyway. Note that if this is in connections with an I-130, it's not for a K3 visa. It would be CR1 or IR1.

Thanks! Appreciate the help. As far as K-3,CR1 or IR1....I have no idea which one we're filing for.We just sent in the I-130 for a child. Not sure which category this is. So far, everything is going as planned.

I-130 for a stepchild would result in a CR2 visa.
