My immigration consultant help me put mine together and we included the last 3 years of returns. We included the federal tax return (form 1040) and W2s from each year.

I sent in my last year's return and the numbers from previous years, which is all they asked for. They can very easily verify this by running an IEVS on me which verifies my social security number and income.
