will usps forward my ssn?

Last july 6th I applied for a SSN in my married name and they said they needed dhs verification etc and to wait 4 weeks. We moved august 2nd and I asked usps to forward my mail. On august 3rd my mother in law texted me that a letter from social security arrived and it said that my card should come in two weeks. But I wonder what will happen now that I asked usps to forward my mail, do you guys think it will arrive at my mother in laws house or here or just be sent back? So confused, I never have luck with ssa!!

My Journey:

We met through a study-abroad program in Shanghai, China in August of 2009

We got engaged March of 2010

I received my K1 VISA in 6 months (June-December 2010)

We were married 04/02/2011
I received my conditional 2-year greencard (AOS) in 2.5 months with no interview (April-June 2011)

Our son was born 02/03/2013

I received my masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology 04/17/2013

I received my 10-year greencard (ROC) in 3 months with no interview (March-June 2013)

My husband returned from deployment 06/20/2013

My naturalization journey took 4 months (April-August 2014)

I became a US citizen on 08/01/2014

Received passport in 3 weeks (regular processing)

Technically they *should* forward all your new mail to your new address, sometimes they wait a bit until they have a lot of your mail and then forward it, they should not hold any of your mail, hopefully. I'm having trouble now with my mail since I moved to Illinois from Florida and I've no idea where's my mail, that shouldn't happen to you and even if it did, your mother in law will receive it so that's still good!

11/21/10 - Marriage

01/18/11 - AOS, AP, EAD packet sent
03/07/2011 - Biometrics appointment
03/29/2011 - AOS, AP and EAD approved (After 2.5 months)
04/04/2011 - Green card in hand[/size]

ROC
02/12/2013 - ROC packet sent
02/21/2013 - NOA1 Received
03/09/2013 - Biometrics appointment
06/19/2013 - ROC APPROVED!

N-400 Naturalization

06/20/2014 - N-400 Packet sent

08/04/2014 - Biometrics

02/19/2015 - Interview

03/26/2015 - Oath Ceremony

To answer my question, yes they did forward it so yay!
