i dk about Canada but u can schedule whenever you want. When i went to schedule mine it said next available appointment in 4 days but i schedule it a month later from that date :)

[*]oct 11 2009:he proposed :D i know crazy lol

[*]october 28 2009: deployment to iraq :(

[*]november 05 2010: visit to mexico for 20 days :D

[*]january 18 2011: k-1 sent

[*]feb 09 2011:NOA1

[*]june 03 2011: NOA2 :D

[*]august 18 2011: interview! hoping for the best

I paid the MRV fee today and went online to schedule an interview and there are no appointments available at this time. I am just crushed. I guess I am to keep checking back. Someone on here stated they are backed up to November! Lord, I hope not. Any advice?

I paid the MRV fee today and went online to schedule an interview and there are no appointments available at this time. I am just crushed. I guess I am to keep checking back. Someone on here stated they are backed up to November! Lord, I hope not. Any advice?

Right now, November appointments are a pretty realistic time frame for the Montreal consulate. I had my Packet 3 logged in the beginning of June, and originally was able to schedule an appointment for the middle of September. I got lucky one night around 2AM EST and saw that an August 8 appointment had opened up and jumped out it as fast as I could.

It seems like additional appointments open up for the next month at the end of the previous month (so end of August for some additional September appointments). There's no pattern, but it seems like people are getting lucky in the evening hours of EST time zone. I booked my August appointment on a Sunday, as well, so it's not only business days. Just check the CSC site as often as you possibly can, and maybe you'll get lucky.

If not, three months goes by pretty quickly, and seems to be the average wait.

2010-11-29: NOA1

2010-12-29: Touched

2011-03-18: Touched

2011-04-15: NOA2

2011-04-25: NVC Received

2011-05-06: Packet 3 Issued

2011-06-04: Packet 3 Logged/Packet 4 Sent (Delayed as we forgot the DS-160)

2011-08-02: Medical

2011-08-08: Interview - APPROVED

2011-08-12: Visa @ DHL

2011-08-16: POE at Winnipeg International Airport
