hi guys... i'll be travelling by DELTA air this friday morning going to Seatle.. It's my first time.. so i'm a bit anxious.. My friends ask me to bring them tupig, bibingka- rice cakes.. My question is... Can i bring some? If yes.. Where will i put them? Carry on or checked baggage... i apprecaite your help.. thank u.. :)

My friends also asked me to bring some suman lol. Check the airline website's restrictions. I think you should put them in your check in baggage because food are not allowed in carry ons.

I have carried lots of food in my checked baggage. Examples: dried fruit (mango's etc), lots of pastries, crackers, cookies etc. I always told the guy at customs what I had, and they never even wanted to see it. For some reason they seem to be more intersted in cigarettes than anything else. They always ask about them, and I don't even smoke.

We were able to bring back suman this past Christmas break. We had it packed in our checked luggage. We flew Asiana and not Delta...I don't know if that matters. Customs in Seattle just asked us if we had any fruits or vegetables. I think you should be fine. As others have mentioned, you may have problems if it's in your carry-on luggage, though.

The worst they can do is take them away from you.

Let us know how the Delta flight is, I am getting ready to book the Manila to Seattle flight for my wife on Delta too and would like to hear how it is. Thank you and good luck...........

My flight went well.. The plane is good.. Crews are friendly.. :)
