Well, I got an email from NVC saying that my interview will be in mid September. Can I buy a ticket now so that I can be with my wife during the interview? What I mean is, the interview date given by NVC is very unlikely to change right?

Also, I was planning on getting to vietnam about 4 days before her interview, do you guys think that that is enough time or should I get there earlier?

interview date is safe. our interview date was set up around that gov't shutdown thing late april so there was a chance it'd be delayed but luckily they worked it out.

if your wife can do the vaccines and medical by herself 4 days before is plenty to get there, organize all the paperworks and photocopies.

She has almost everything for the interview, I mailed her the airline stubs, copies of i130, i864, my certified birth certificate, cc bills showing airplane ticket purchase, etc. She will get the medical in Vietnam as soon as possible, is there any reason I need to be there for the medical?

Absolutely buy a ticket to go to VN :) One of the things I still feel bad about is not being with Thu when she went for her interview. If you are able, make the effort to go and give your wife emotional support. Going to VN 4 days before your wife's interview is fine. I know of a few members that arrived in VN just 1 day before the interview so I think you should be fine. Keep us updated and good luck! :)

Definitely. You should book it asap. It will help her to be more confident that you're there. Of course you can't go inside but at least you're going with her.

I thought I read that you could go inside the consulate. Of course, interview is only

For beneficiary.
