Hello,

My wife and me just receipt an Request for Initial Evidence regarding I-864 incorrect completion (missing some proof and not enough income).

Anyways, i have now all the proof (tax documentation & proof of citizenship ...)and we decide to add a new joint sponsor (dad of my wife) :

Three I-864:

* petitioner : my wife (she is student / no income)

* first sponsor : mother of my wife ($35 000 per year)

* joint sponsor : father of wife ($75 000 per year)

I need some advices regarding questions 24 d and 24 e?

I-864 of my wife :

* 24 D : unchecked

* 24 E : checked with the immigrant name

I-864 of the first sponsor and second sponsor

* 24 D : ??

* 24 E : unchecked

The mother and father of my wife are obliged to complete a form I-864 A ?

Thanks in advance

Guillaume

If you need $100K in income to cover the household size then use both. If not, just use one of the parents. Since Dad makes $75K, just use him. No need for both.

If you are determined to use both, then have Dad do an I-864 and Mom do the I-864A to combine her income with Dad.
