Hi,

I am new to the forums and like most of you would like to bring my fiancee to the US to live with me. We've been together almost 3 years now and I would like to start the application process now.

At the moment she is in the dominican republic where my family is also from but I was born in the states. Since she is out of the U.S at the moment how would i got about getting her signature on the paper work , I am not sure if e-signature is an option or what. I have all the evidence except picture of us together but i do have all the receipts that show i have been supporting her and also the text and call logs from the past years.

Can anyone provide me some insight on this .

Thank you in advance.

It cost us $100 for her to mail them to me and $100 to mail them back via FedEx. It is the only way to have original signatures per the requirements. Fortunately these are documents and should not get hung up for long in customs, but that does add a day to the travel time.

Good luck,

Dave

When we were filling out our petition I had planned to fill in the required information, email my fiance a copy of that paperwork, he would sign it then send it to me in the regular mail - I would add my signatures once it got to me. It would at least save money & time from mailing the paperwork 2 times.

I'm not sure if that would actually work (although, I see no glitch) though b/c I was lucky enough to end up taking a trip to see him right when we were preparing - so I brought the papers with me by hand, although, that option is QUITE a bit more expensive then mailing them! ;) Good luck!
