On some of our forms and communications with USCIS, my husband's A number is written A-09xxxxxxxxxx, and in some places, it's written as A-9xxxxxxxxxx. Does that 0 make a difference?

10/14/05 - married AbuS in the US lovehusband.gif

02/23/08 - Filed for removal of conditions.

Sometime in 2008 - Received 10 year GC. Almost done with USCIS for life inshaAllah! Huzzah!

12/07/08 - Adopted the fuzzy feline love of my life, my Squeaky baby th_catcrazy.gif

02/23/09 - Apply for citizenship

06/15/09 - Citizenship interview

07/15/09 - Citizenship ceremony. Alhamdulilah, the US now has another american muslim!

In documentation I've read, the A-number is referred to as a nine-digit number following the A. This leads me to believe that the leading 0 should be included. But since everyone's A-number begins with a 0 (I think), that's probably why they sometimes drop it.

Well, seeing as how USCIS has made other typographical errors that have messed up the green card, it wasn't obvious to me at all, thus why I asked :thumbs:

Either way works, I've even seen some forms that say the 8 or 9 digit number following the A.
