Hi VJ members. I just want to ask those who have already gone for interview in Manila US Embassy if their documents like NBI, CENOMAR and NSO Birth Certificate are returned to them after they have been approved? Thank you.

No, those papers will not be returned to you...They will keep the original copy of those papers.

I think as long as it's registered it will be accepted. Have supporting documents with you like your Baptismal Certificate just to be sure. Coz I know someone who had problems with her Birth Certificate so the Embassy asked for her Baptismal Certificate instead and they accepted it.

I had my Late registraton for my birth certificate, tinanong nila kung bakit late registration ako, sabi ko nman kasi hindi pinaparegister agad ng parents ko then the interviewer said,i see..yun lang..hindi nman nila hiningi yung baptismal ko..pero dadalhin mo nlang yung mga supporting documents just encase!

Follow-up question related to this.

Can't you bring copies of these documents and bring the original for them to compare?

I think you can submit the copies as long as they can compare it with the originals. Then they'll keep the photocopies in your file.

I read a thread similar to this...

...here it is! :)
