what are the chances of picking up visa a couple of days after the interview in manila? If I get my girl in on a Wednesday or Thursday? could we pick up visa on Friday, Saturday or Monday from 2go? What are the chances of this? or it is better to just take her back to the village and wait?

in my case my interview was july 18 monday then i got my visa on hand on july 22 saturday..it took just 5days i picked it up at 2go branch in laguna coz that's where i stayed for awhile,then booked my flight july 24..

hmm if ever she wait and pick up her visa in manila,is she still going back to her village?

No mnl case number yet. But was told possibly Monday Aug1 by NVC. Since that is 15 days. Right now I see NVC processing 6-25 through 6-28 so expect it soon.

I read somewhere that they directly asked the consul if they can pickup the visa at the embassy ASAP coz they already booked their tickets. They were able to do it and they got their visa the next day at the embassy. The consul just told them "okay come back tomorrow". Try asking the consul on her interview.

In my case, I had my interview July 14th (Thursday) and got the visa July 21st. I picked up my visa to the closest 2go branch from the embassy. That's 7 days of waiting, 12 calls to the 2go and embassy.. You can never tell when they do things fast and when they don't.

Last summer ('10), we had the embassy hold the visa for pickup. It took nearly 2 weeks after the interview until the visa was available for pickup. So unless you want to wait around Manila (which was not a problem for us, since I have lived there and we have family/friends), then I would say go ahead back to her province. And for sure don't book plane tickets until you have the visa IN HAND.

Darren where do you find what dates NVC are processing?

Here on VJ: (you can search timelines, sort by noa1, noa2, NVC dates, etc.) make to to click on "enable advanced mode" so you can see NVC dates. this has helped me get timelines for philippines interviews, entry, etc.

yes you can..thats what i did i put the address of the 2go office where i want to pick up my visa on the 2go form that was given to me by the lady in the window 69..

then 2go office will inform you if your visa is ready to pick up.

You're welcome. I noticed too that the date of the visa printing is not that far from the date of interview (Usually less than a week around 1-4 days after the interview). It's when 2go picks up the visa from the embassy for delivery that is delaying it. Either the consul will have your visa printed immediately or if not, it won't take that long for it to be printed. Consuls in Manila are very nice! If you get lucky you might get your visa on the same day coz I read about someone who did that too. Positive vibes!

Yes, not booking any tickets until we have the visa in hand. Which is why I will have two trips instead of just one long trip. Just be nice if the embassy had some compassion on us. But at this point just content with things moving along.

right now though still no record of case number at NVC....
