London Interview

Same thing here. Packet 3 sent in 8/1 and received at 7:56am per the mail service. The Embassy still has not logged it in and they say to give them 2 more weeks. We are on pins and needles as this is the last step! I see in many timelines that there is about a 5 week wait between mailing the packet back and getting an interview. I guess they send out the interview paperwork and you have 1-2 weeks to report then. As long as we are in process that is a good thing.

Maybe folks can post here when they mailed their packet, when it was received, and when they got their appointment letter? Then we can see how backlogged they are.

Makes me glad I sent everything in duplicate!

Timeline

I contacted the London Embassy today 11th of August regarding the waiting time from medical to interview. (Its in my forum post).

At the moment the average waiting time is:

4 weeks to process the paperwork once recieved including the ready for interview form

3 weeks to issue the interview date.

So average of 7 weeks from when they get your paperwork as long as you have your medical within those first 4 weeks and nothing is wrong.

hope it helps I know waiting can be very depressing been almost 10 months for me so far.

Yes, my fiance sounds like a wilted flower when I call her, we have done the medical, paid for the visas and all other paperwork needed. I sent her a credit card to help out and pay for these things. We sent the paperwork to the Embassy, it's be nice if they simply said yes it is here, apparently if it is not logged in they have no idea where it is.

I have issues with this because I worked in a US Embassy and at least the one I was in was very efficient and mail was very trackable!

Well, time will tell. We are simply waiting for the Embassy now to send am appointment letter.

I-864 and I-134, I sent both. They can toss out the one they do not need. I'd sure hate for her to be in the middle of the interview only to find I sent the wrong form.

That's a nice place to live! What do you guys do for work? I'm kind of stuck here, I want to move but the job's retirement is a good deal so I will stick it out, especially in this economy.

Karen is from Scotland but presently lives in Christchurch, Dorset. It's about 2 hours to London.

And when she came here for a visit she fell in love with root beer. :-)
