My NOA2 states that my 129-F was forwarded to the consulate not NVC. Today I called NVC and was told to called the consulate. Has anyone experience this issue?

I've noticed a lot of members here are getting this. All applications, once approved, go to the NVC or DOS, and then get forwarded to the Consulate. The time period it stays at the NVC is roughly a week (or two). However, there have been instances where it has taken longer than that.

By and large, they all go through the NVC before the Consulate, there is no way an approved petition can get routed straight to the consulate.

If I'm wrong, I will be corrected (but I doubt it)

Goodluck.

Did they ask you to read the first paragraph? If so that is why they told you to call the consulate. Anyways your petition has to get to the NVC and get a case #. After that they forward it to the embassy. There is no way that the petition bypasses the NVC. Give them few days and call again.

Good Luck

I was told by the NVC Rep that they have been cases in which the 129-F has been forwarded to the consulate.

Thank You.

I was told the same thing (that it went straight to the consulate), but it does go to the NVC first. 129-F petitions do not stay at the NVC long. You could try to call again tomorrow to see if you get a different answer.
