plese friends am so confused what is meant by the long version of the birth certificate?? cos mine has all the info but it isnt long but short like a post card

You would need the long one. you would need to go to the National population office popularly known as census at Bode thomas in Suru/lere Lagos.

It cost about 5k,,it takes a week to get it ready. If you are not in Lagos then you need to find the closest population/census office in your city or town.

A "short " birth certificate names your parents but doesn't say much about who they are. A long one give data about your parents, usually place of birth and date of birth and mothers maiden name

; I would say the longest version as it contains all the information they need.

Also make sure you have an International (English) Birth Certificate. They can print it out for you.
