So after 3.5 months after filing for I-485, it boiled down to what seemed like a 5 minute interview.

When we first got into the office, we were told not to sit yet as we had to stand up, raise our right hand, and swear to oath to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Then we sat down and the IO started firing a list of questions (maybe 50 or so) with little to no interruption. We just said yes/no. Some examples: Have you committed fraud? Have you ever been arrested? Done illegal things? After those questions, we jumped into the marriage portion. Easy and general questions about how we met, when we met? IO asked us for some joint documents that can be used as proof of a bona-fide marriage. I offered joint lease, bank statements, and some pictures of us together. No wedding pictures and no witnesses at the wedding. After the IO went through the proof and paperwork, she gave us a letter to sign. I gasped and thought it was a letter of denial since the interview went exactly 8 minutes in. The letter actually read that I was granted conditional permanent residency. Me and my wife had to both sign it. Then my passport was stamped with a temporary I-551. Me and my wife did a happy feet dance in the office and said thank you. The IO was very nice. And I am happy. LOLz!

Good luck to your interviews. Don't stress about it.

My i-94 and ead cards were all taken away. The stamp supposedly replaces all of that. Now I just have to wait for the plastic.

We did not use a lawyer for the process.

Congrats!
