A few questions about filing I-130 and I-485

Hey Everyone,

About to send off my I-130 and I-485 and have a few questions.

Not sure how to put the papers together. Some places say use ACCO fasteners and some say don't.

How do I separate the I-130 from the I-485? Should I use folders or are rubber bands ok?

My I-693 does not say "For USCIS use only........" on it. It's blank but sealed and stamped by the doctor. Is that ok.

Will really appreciate any response I get.

Thanks in advance.

We didn't use acco fasteners. We used bulldog clips to hold everything together. We grouped similar items together and used small clips to hold them. It's been a couple of years now but I think we put large clips around each of the forms and their supporting documents. You don't want to use anything that makes it difficult for them to take your package apart, because they will. It's not a bad idea to put page numbers on everything, along with something that identifies them as yours.

Our envelope from the CS was blank too, it wasn't a problem. Good luck!

I would recommend not using ACCOS fastener too. I filed my documents using heavy clips and i used easily removable sticky labeled tabs to separate the different sections of my documents. During my AOS interview, i saw that the IO had all my documents filed in her file with a double hole punch on top of the document.

Thanks "immifrustration". I think I'm going to use bulldog clips instead of acco fasteners.
