I use Globe Direct too and I like it alot. We talk quite a bit now and my phone bill isn't $100 anymore.. The rate just went up 100 peso's last month, damm. But very worth it. The only thing I don't like is they have contacted my fiancee in the Philippines with promo offers. They said they were calling from California and she thought it was about our K1 Visa, haha. Luckily she didnt give our info away. I have been called once as well and just hung up.

We have been using it for several months now and are very happy. The only thing is on weekends it seems to be overloaded and hard to get through. I got an email they are going up 300 peso next month, but it's still a good deal.

No land phone lines or internet service where my wife's family lives. There is wireless available, but the signal is spotty at best, but maybe they will get a tower closer to them soon.

my wife and i are now using google+ "hangouts" . Her internet is just a little better than dialup  and it usually works ok to video chat effectively. Her internet is Globe wireless that is mounted on the roof and costs if I remember right 1200p per month which her family shares cost. We tried skype and YM and neither of those work as good as Goog+ "Hangouts". My smart phone (forward facing cam) also has the goog+ app so when i am off at work, driving, store shopping, LOL shower  .... she comes with me wherever i have 3g or 4g reception. This ability to communicate brought our relationship so much closer. :):):) and not because of the shower ..... i saw your mind working :bonk:

I've had Super US Direct for a while now, and it's been absolutely WONDERFUL! It has saved me so much money! I love it because it's basically unlimited for me with AT&T long distance calls. Sad to hear the news though that they are raising the price from $15-$17 to $25....oh well. That's still much better that how much I used to pay per month! :D

It's good service. I knew Globe eventually has to raise the prices with the number of hours I talk to my fiancees. does anybody know how I can use this Globe direct as part of the ongoing relationship. I get lazy type chats when you can now talk on the phone.

Yes, I have a Globe Super US Direct number. For $15 a month, my Globe cellphone number is assigned a US number which my fiance calls using the unlimited local calls in his phone account. I've been using this for 5 months now and the service has been good. My fiance and I used to spend so much on call cards, but this allows him to call me anytime and we can talk as long as we want.

I received an advisory from Globe on May 16 though, it said that: "Super US Direct promo will end on May 31, 2012. You may enjoy the promotional price of P699 ($15) till end of the month. Starting June 1, Super US Direct will be replaced with GLOBE DUO INTERNATIONAL. This also allows you to maintain a US number for P999/month. To know more about this service, text DUOINTL INFO to 8888."

...Looks like they already realized how much my fiance and I are using it... oh well.

Same here. I prefer talking than typing lol. What I was going to do to show this as proof is print the confirmation email I receive from registering for the service every month. I believe on there it shows the PI number and the US number it has been assigned. Then I was going to send in my cell phone bill logs and highlight the calls to that US number. Maybe I will also attach a summary telling them the exact number of minutes we talked each bill period. I'm not sure how you would do it if it was registered in the Phils, but maybe either the confirmation text can be printed somehow (transfer to computer?) or send in a copy receipt from Globe if it was paid in person and not through text...HTH! :)
