Hi, I dont think your finace needs your birth certificate, either original or copy for the interview, I may be wrong, but this is the first time am hearing this...

Only the beneficiary birth certificate is required, original and copy...

Best of luck

Those of you who have been through Juarez.... Does my fiance need my original birth certificate from America or is a copy ok???

I had ordered extra certified copies, so I just sent my husband one of those and they kept that. I think a copy should be fine though. They just want it as proof of the petitioner's US citizenship.

I had my fiance bring a copy and the original to the interview-- they didn't keep it, so I was in luck since it's the only copy I have right now lol.

If it's possible you might want to have them bring the original, just better to be safe than sorry. If it's not possible than a copy will just have to do!

I was always told that I needed the original.

I had my interview last week and I handed the original, the girl gave it back to me and asked for a copy of it OR a copy of his passport, I gave her copy of passport.. Bring as much as u can just to be safe. Good luck!
