IRS can't find 2010 tax return

Hello everyone,

I am trying to get my RFE for i-864 together. My hubby requested the 3 most recent tax return transcripts but the lady told him, she was not seeing a tax return for 2010, so he only got 2009 and 2008. He filed his taxes for 2010 in early February. Since the IRS cannot find the tax return for 2010, would it be ok to send a copy from his files plus the 2 transcripts we got?

Also, any insight on why the return would not show up even though you know it was filed?

On a separate note, did your husband get a refund or have to pay? A refund check or a cashed check will some proof they process the 2010 return. If they can't find the return, your husband will be on the hook for his 2010 return.

BTW, I'm not a tax attorney. =)
