Probably need a SSS card (req in AZ), but you never know in Ca. Most who have never driven go to drivers school. Find one where you can take test, written and driving both and go to DMV for License only. You will need your I94 and approved I485 pending.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

I dont think you need SSN, if you dont have a SSN you can get a letter from school and that should work.

First thing you need is to get driver ed book, which most state have it online and you can download from their website.

You will have to study that, take a written test - once you pass the written test you will be geting a learners permit.

Once you have a learner permit, one of your friend can teach you or you can use one of the school, I believe Sears had one to get your actual practical learning to drive.

From there whenever you are ready I believe you can take the practical test and that should get you your DL.
