Police report usually takes 1 month to complete. It is done in the province where the beneficiary was born. I suggest if you still have months until interview date then get it done during the meantime. You will get blue slip for request of police report if it is not present on interview date. The wait time could be less with coffee money but we did not try it since we had a couple months before interview date. I believe it is valid 6 months. Make sure don't do it too early.

The Police Certificate is required for beneficiary who is 16yr old and older and it's good for 1 year. Yes, it take a month or sometimes a little more to get, but if you have connection or some ho^'i lo^. will speed it up

It takes my wife about 5 weeks to get it since she lived in Ben Tre and then moved to HCM City 110 years ago. The Justice Office at Ben Tre has to check the record from HCM City and then issue the certificate. I am still waiting for it for my DS-230 package to NVC.
