If you gave the email addresses to the NVC operator, then you will only be getting an email with the interview letter. If you didn't give the email addresses, then it will be snail mailed.

if they have your email id then you will get email. where is your timeline. my beneficiary is from india too. so i can know how long it ones case has been done at NVC..
