A friend of mine is going to be my co-sponsor for my fiance's visa. Over the last year she has had some trouble with her bank accounts. Money has disappeared from her bank account. Her account became severely over drawn and she closed that account and opened another one at a different bank. Money was taken from that account as well, and she ended up closing that account as well but opening another one in the same bank. We can only assume that someone has stolen her identity. My question is, since she will not be able to supply bank statements that show a strong bank history, will this affect her ability to co-sponsor? She made a few thousand dollars over the amount needed to sponsor my fiance and she got her tax transcipts to prove it, we just want to know if her issues with the bank are going to cause a problem.

Wow, I hope your friend got the problem straightened out, and went through all the steps needed when their identity is stolen.

Anyway, if they make above the 125% mark, then all they need to send is the tax transcripts, pay stubs and a letter from their employer stating their salary. No bank statements needed.
