Hey ! Congratulations ! coming up fast, yes?

Studying the timelines for China, closest is the 11th, for an IR-1/CR-1 interview, but maybe will be some more appointments set in the next few days?

These guys may be close - http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?cfl=&id=97184 but he's not updated his timeline.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Thanks. Now I'm bracing for the interview. Since you've already offered some advice, Darnell, on my sponsorship issue, I'm worrying about how they will view my I-864. If the VO has a brain in his head, he should easily understand my current and projected incomes. With plenty of verifiable assets to boot, I'm hoping for the best.

I'm a little confused about the interview and document submission dates. The information simply reads: "An immigrant visa interview has been scheduled for the applicant at the U.S. Embassy/Consulate in GUANGZHOU ELECTRONIC on July 28, 2011 at 12:30 pm."

I'm surprised that there is no mention of document intake. Should I assume that document intake will be on July 27, the day before the interview?

Another question: how much time should my wife plan to stay in Guangzhou? My understanding is that the visa may not be ready for some days after the interview. How much time should we allow to for the visa to arrive at her home in Chengdu (we will have the Yangs pick up and post her passport)?

Timeline

document intake first, afternoon of the 28th.

interview second, morning of the 29th (or the following monday, if the 28th was a friday)

Time in Guangzhou - 1 day to transit in, 2 days for medical, 2 days for interview

Since yer engaging the Yang's for ReDelivery, she can leave after the interview is completed.
