Interview: Vancouver

Medical Exam: Montreal

My fiancee's interview went great. She was given the green light by the interviewer who had assumed everything was done. But she was waiting on some info from Montreal.

This morning she phoned Montreal. They said that the consulate called them and said they needed more information about the chest xrays, but didn't say anything more.

She's leaving in a few minutes to head back to the consulate.

I'm on pins and needles here. What on Earth could it be??? As far as we know she's in terrific shape and nobody is telling us anything! This is a girl that summitted Kilimanjaro last December!!!

If they reject her... good grief I have no idea what I'll do.

:(

rslifka,

Perhaps DS-3024, one of the medical report forms, is missing or incomplete.

Hi Yodrak,

Her appointment was for yesterday. They spent the day trying to get the Montreal office to fill the form out correctly and send it back, and they kept faxing the same form. They closed at 2:00 PDT so she had to leave the consulate and come home.

This morning she woke up and called Montreal. According to the woman she talked to, the consulate had an issue with the chest xray (which is not what they told her yesterday). Perhaps this issue required the form to be filled out differently?

There's obviously something they're not telling her. What she did get was a direct line to the people in Montreal the consulate needs to follow-up with. She's on her way down now...

Man I'm on pins and needles here.

Oooo Rob I don't blame you I'd be on edge too.

When was her medical? I cannot at all speak for the Montreal consulate, but in the UK if there's something untoward found during the exam the beneficiary receives a phone call shortly afterwards. If it's been a while since the medical, she's probably fine.

Perhaps the x-ray was unclear, or as Yodrak said there's a form that needs more work.

*fingers crossed*

Maybe its just a missing file, like Yodrak suggested, but if not, what on earth could be their problem with X-rays?? I mean, there's been an exam, so there's a report, made by a md..

Immigration officers aren't doctors, as far as i know!

It's gotta be a missing file! Did you take your X-rays with you at the interview?
