I plan on filing the petition for my fiance to immigrate as soon as I get home, which should be the 1st week of July. I hope that the process goes quickly, but I know that there are no guarantees. Our baby is due around the middle of February. Waiting for him to join me will be difficult, but I really don't want to go through labor and delivery without him and I know he wants to be there to see our first child born. If the K-1 is not approved by February, is it at all possible that my fiance would be allowed a tourist visa? If he already has an approved tourist visa that is valid for one year, could he be denied entry to the US if he has a fiance visa pending? We want to do all of this legally even though the waiting is hard, but we both want him there when the baby is born, even if he can only stay a few weeks and has to leave again to wait for the visa process to finish. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

It is possible but you must be open and honest that you are going through the K1 process. The most important thing is that he must show strong ties to his country or they will deny him entry. Family ties, job, rent or morgage...there needs to be enough proof that he will logically return to his country and not stay in the US once he enters with the Tourist Visa. It can be done, but it's very difficult sometimes.
