My husband is having his medical on the 30th and he went to his doctor to get a record of his immunizations.. well they are remodeling and told him they couldnt find it.. What can he do now?

USCIS (155 Days)

12/20/2010 - Mailed I-130 to Chicago Lock Box via USPS Express Mail

12/22/2010 - Delivered (online tracking confirmation)

12/27/2010 - NOA1 Email and Text from USCIS. Off to CA!!

12/30/2010 - NOA1 Hardcopy Received. Priority date is 12/22/2010.

02/16/2011 - Touched

05/26/2011 - NOA2 155 days after NOA1!

05/31/2011 - NOA2 Hardcopy Received. No text or email notification.

NVC (21 Days)

06/10/2011 - NVC Received

06/14/2011 - NVC Case & IIN Numbers Received

06/14/2011 - DS3032 Sent via Email

06/16/2011 - AOS bill generated and paid

06/17/2011 - DS3032 Accepted

I would think in order to pass the medical he will have to have the jabs again unless he can prove he has had them.

Hmm...

I think he should call them again and ask extra nicely if they could do anything to find them.

I called my GP twice before I got someone to track down my childhood immunization records. My father was in the military and we moved a lot. Once nice conversation and gentle pleading with a nurse and she was able (or inclined) to get them.

I wonder why remodeling would prevent them from finding them, presumably they are all electronic now.

As I say...perhaps trying again and being extra extra nice and explaining that he'll need to get them again if he can't prove he's had them. Worth a try!

well he scheduled a doctors appt for Thursday and is going to ask him again. They looked on the computer and couldnt find it and said theyll look in their "records" but couldnt find it because of remodeling..lol good gracious!

Good old NHS.

I found that if you find the right person and are extra nice and patient and apologise for the inconvenience...they do tend to help. But they are busy and digging out records for a non-urgent reason is given a low priority. I just took a computer print out of my immunisation records with a nurses notes on it with the records that weren't on the computer. That was fine for Knightsbridge to sign my paperwork.

I wonder if he really can't get the records, if getting an immunity test for the appropriate ones is ok?? They did this for me for mumps instead of give me the MMR for the 2nd time. If in doubt, check with Knightsbridge. The vaccinations there aren't hugely expensive (certainly not as expensive as getting them in the US)

Rosy, If he hasn't had all of his jabs before he goes to the medical then they give you a letter to take to your doctors saying "patient has requested to have his vaccinations at your surgery" so that you dont have to pay for them at the medical. When your hubbys had the vaccinations at his gp his doctor then faxes the stuff to kinightsbridge doctors then they forward all his medical stuff to the embassy.. Or he can just have them at his medical and pay for them. :) tis up to you.. They dont deny you though if you dont wanna pay for them so dont worry your silly little head about it all.. haha :)
