Here in Manila waiting to go home with my wife. I was going to inquire at the Embassy today but it's a holiday. And now it looks like another holiday on June 24th.

Can anyone confirm if the Embassy will close on the 24th as well.

I'm trying to comfort myself thinking that even though the Embassy is closed they are still working inside processing our case... :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Thanks for your reply however these lists do not diclose all actual holidays. There's no mention of today's holiday but it's nevertheless closed.

I was supposed to call 6/20 too. I guess I will call today to inquire some info. Boy, How much I wish my case was Dubai. SO delightful to work with them.

According to Proclamation No. 175, June 24, 2011 will be a special non-working holiday in the city of Manila since it's the 440th founding anniversary of the Philippine Capital. (MANILA DAY)

DECLARING MONDAY, JUNE 20, 2011, AS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY

WHEREAS, Sunday, June 19, 2011, marks the 150th birth anniversary of Dr. Jose P. Rizal, our national hero;

WHEREAS, to give all Filipinos the opportunity to commemorate Rizal's patriotic deeds and sacrifices for the country, rekindle their admiration and respect for him, and to celebrate this milestone with appropriate ceremonies, the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) requested that Monday, June 20, 2011, be declared as special non-working holiday instead of June 19, 2011, which falls on a Sunday.
