Hi everyone .... my fiance (Morocco) is filling out the forms sent from consulate to him for his interview (DS-156, DS-156K, DS-230, etc.) He is thinking to fill them out by pen and submit. I think it's best to type the forms online (more updated versions, in some cases), and submit these instead. My reasoning is typed is neater, the forms would be up-to-date (the embassy sent some out-of-date forms). Do you suppose we could face problems by NOT submitting the exact forms they mailed him? Thanks!

I do not see a problem with that. In Russia postal services are so bad that barely anyone receives those forms. Basically, I did just that: filled out electronically and sent it to my fiancee. No problem.
