Atlanta interview - a waste of time

Well hubby , daughter and I just returned from a 3 hour round trip to Atlanta which was a total waste of time. For those following our story we recieved our green card about three weeks after being tranfered to CSC which was great but we had also recieved interview notices for Atlanta dated for today. I had called the 1-800# 4 times to ask if we still needed to go to the interview and 2 people told me I had to go while the other 2 told me not to go, so we decided to go and when we got there we waited for an hour for our names to be called. Then some guy came out and sat at the table in the front of the room so I went to talk to him, showed him our green cards and he took them in the back and told me he would check on it for me. He came out with an immigration officer that said " This is your decision, you have been approved and you dont need to be here so have a nice day you can go" and he handed back the cards. Smiling I said thankyou and we left. Happy that we didnt need the interview but kind of pissed that we drove down for nothing, hubby missed a day of work and daughter missed a day of school and I have spent the last two weeks making a tonne of copies of everything we would have needed for the interview. It sure would have been nice if the people at the 1800 # could have got their stories straight and saved me all this aggravation. Oh well, alls well that ends well and we are grateful for the card. Good luck to those still waiting and by the way I snuck through without getting the Vaccination suppliment. I just wrote a letter with the I-485 application saying that It must have been in the envelope I gave at the point of entry and I never got a RFE and since I didnt have the interview It worked for me. Although I know that some people do get RFEd for it so I dont advise taking the chance. Any way thats my story see you all in a year and a half :D Lara
