Can someone please verify if the US embassy in Nigeria actually does mail the Interview Packet by post or if the send it via email. Generally, for those that have received interview packets (3 and/or 4) from the US embassy, how is this usually sent? If it is usually sent via email, will it be sent to the beneficiary or the petitioner? Please inform. And for those that responded to my previous post, thank you so much for your responses. I appreciate!!

It depends on the country. In Brazil for example, we never get the packet 3.

I found out my interview date when I decided to email my local consulate to see if they had received our petition. They answered me on the very next day saying they got it and gave me the interview date. They sent me a 'link' to check everything I need to gather due to interview.

1 week after, i got the packet 4 ... but the packet 3 never came.

6-11-11 - Vaccines ok!

7-19-11 - Interview = APPROVED!

7-22-11 - Passport with visa received.

8-12-11 - Arrived in US!!! (POE = ATL international airport)

9-24-11 - We got married!

9-30-11 - AOS, EAD and AP applications sent by mail.

11-7-11 - Biometrics done.

Dec 11 - Received EAD, AP and AOS on mail!

Dec 11 - Name changed on SSN and BMV!

Lagos will email pkt 3&4 and it goes to the beneficiary.....unless the petitioner use there email as if they r the beneficiary.... Good luck

Feb. 14, 2011 received hard copy of NOA for AOS, EAD& AP

Feb. 18, 2011 received appt letter for biometrics

Feb. 28, 2011 biometrics appt @10am

Feb. 28, 2011 received txt/email AOS case transferred to csc

Mar 1, 2011 AOS Touched

Mar 3, 2011 received hard copy of AOS transfer to csc

Mar 4, 2011 AOS Touched

Mar 28, 2011 Received txt/email saying card production has been ordered. (1month 3eeks 3days)

Mar 28, 2011 Received 2nd txt/email saying we have registered this customer permanent residence status

That's great to hear. I was worried the packet would be sent by post and, either someone else receives it or it never gets to my fiance. We both have our email addresses on the application, so hopefully, we'll hear something back soon by email. Thanks a lot Patient2010, i appreciate your response.

you can ask the lagos consulate thru mail and you will be told what to do cos they mailed me the site to go to and download the forms that are in packet 3 and 4. except they have started mailing the packets again. i will advise you to just mail them to know maybe they will mail or you can download the forms cos their sending it may take forever.
