Hello everyone. I am in need of some help. The USCIS sent my NOA 2 approval on May 25 2011. So here is where I am confused. When is it best to call the NVC? I already tried calling them and I used their automated service. They said that they still did not have my documents on file. So would it be better to wait or talk to an operator?

I'd go ahead and call the NVC. The AVR tends to be slow to update. If the operator then says your documents are in the building but not yet in the system, then call back every other day or so till you get your NVC casefile number.

14 days from CIS till NVC case number assigned.

I just called awhile ago and spoke to an operator, you should too. No case number for us yet. They all have the same answer "Please wait for 15 business days"

I'd say call them everyday at least once till you get it. Good luck!:)
