Hey Guys,

So I kinda think I know the answer to my query, but I'd guess I would like a little more reassurance. Okay here goes......I have my medical this Thursday ( 9th June ) in London, I called the DOS 2 days ago and the woman said "YES" the LONDON EMBASSY had received and logged my case from the NVC, and "YES" the LONDON EMBASSY has mailed out packet 3.Soooooooooooo I guess once I receive "PACKET 3" I return it with the necessary forms and letter of readiness to the appropriate address etc etc.....

Now once London logs my packet 3, do I then pay for my MRV receipt etc etc prior to the interview?...then I just wait for PACKET 4 to arrive with the appointment date right????

Any feedback would be great......:)

Yeah thats basically it, but getting through to the embassy is a nightmare, so if you can get your petitioner to use the American number and pay the MRV for you it's probably a good idea. Thats what we did in the end... having wasted time and money trying to get through from the UK

There is nothing magical about the p3 letter like a secret code assigned to you. If they have logged your case, it is safe to mail in the forms.

They prefer you to pay before the interview, but you can wait until you've received the appointment letter. Some people are actually still paying at the embassy. And some people pay real early. I haven't seen anything indicating the timing of your payment will speed up or slow down your case. Payment is not a prerequisite to being assigned an interview.
