Hey guys,

My wife is U.S citizen & we live in U.A.E. I recently had my spouse immigration visa interview at U.S embassy in Abu Dhabi.

The consular officer said that all my documents are complete and everything looks fine. Now they need 2 months to complete the administrative processing. I'm so depressed as I had the understanding that if all documents are complete, we get the visa at the same time.

I was wondering if anyone else has gone through such situation (particularly at U.S embassy in Abu Dhabi), can you please let me know how much time in actual (practically) do they take usually to complete the administrative processing?

Thanks a million!

Based on reading hundreds of Posts on AP there is no hard and fast amount of time it takes for AP. Usually about 6 weeks if no issues, some folks if you look on this board have been in AP for extended periods of time or gone through it multiple times.

One thing for sure its common for all middle eastern countries to have to go through AP after interview. Best of luck

Are you specifically talking about U.S embassy in Abu Dhabi?

I've noticed from other threads that the time for AP varies by different embassies. I am highly interested to know the average time it takes from Abu Dhabi embassy.
