im going to take off to vietnam this sept. and coming back to the states with my wife. i figured it will be cheaper if i fly during the fall when all the kids are in school. im sure fall means nothing in vietnam considering it will be hot and muggy 24/7 year long...unless you live in da lat. then again, "cold" for them is "cool" for me considering i live in the most northeast corner of the states. this may seems a bit sappy and gay, but i've been in this forum for a long time now and reading the posts everyday and i've actually gotten attatched to this place and the folks who comes regularly even though i dont talk to you guys hehe!! we all have to go through the paperwork and nightmares and stress made me understand what others are going through. if anyone out there want to hang out or meet up im totally down. i will be in phan thiet vacationing and i like to spend some time in ho chi minh city. i'll be mainly in the south of the county so if anyone is around im totally down to hang out. no worries, im no freak im fairly good looking if i dont say so for my damn self. maybe i'll buy a few iphones and sell them there to fund my trip around the south.

Sept through Nov are the best times to travel if price is the issue IMO... There was a slight dip around spring break... I just paid twice what I wanted to for my trip in a few weeks... but could have been worse.. the Friday before, the same flight was 400 more trhan I paid... Mon and Tues are by far the best days of the week to buy...

There is a little money to be made if you take an Ipad as well...

gezzz...ipad? never thought of that. can they unlock it? or what vietnamese do when you bring phones from the states, they "dai ma" the phones. iphone 4g's sell for $200 without a 2 year subscription. i was informed by my cousin that a 4g would sell for around 15m. that's about 4x the profit.

If you can find unlocked iPhone 4's for $200 then I recommend you buy as many as you can. They're going on eBay for more than twice that much. Jail broken iPhone 4's start around $450, and factory unlocked iPhone 4's sell for over $700.

Oh so true...

its not the same situation it was a few years ago when I could get a 3g for a couple hundred and sell it there for 800 to 1000.. now there is only a couple hundred profit in each one including the ipads.. the factory unlocked ones have a bit more profit in them. be ready to get asked if you have them and what you will do if they find them... it would take a few to pay for a trip and if they find a few they will hit you hard with a duty...
