Nickname in "Other Names Used"

Hi all,

My legal name is Cassandra, and I have always used this on any legal forms I fill out. However, I have always been called Casey, and so there is a chance this name will have made it onto some of my records (if doing a background check).

So, I want to include Casey on my I-129F and G-325a forms. My question is, which of the following ways should I fill in the "Other Names Used"?

1) Casey

2) Casey (short for Cassandra)

3) Casey (nickname)

4) Casey Mylastname

5) Casey Mymiddlename Mylastname

Of course I would be writing actual middle and last name...

Well first remember the G-325A and I-129F use the Family Name (Last Name) First.

So I would put in your format number 5, only Last Name first. They ask for the last name in CAPS on one of the forms. As for me I've always put everything in CAPS.

Good luck!

NOA1 - 12/21/15

NOA2 - 04/18/16

NVC Receive - 04/29/16

NVC Welcome - 05/13/16

DS-261 - 05/14/16

AOS, IV PAID - 05/27/16

DS260 done - 06/10/16

Case Transferred to US Embassy in Riga Latvia at the end of October.

If you really want it, you'll find a way!

They are interested in any anme that appears on formal legal documents. Have you used your nick name on any formal documents like a drivers licience?

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

I haven't, but my concern is that sometimes when other people fill out forms for me, like at work or at a doctor's office, sometimes they use Casey by mistake. With a thorough background check, I have no idea if Casey might turn up somewhere.

Ok, thanks.

If I left the nickname off of the forms.. What about the secondary evidence we will be using for the visa interview? Any correspondence would have "Casey" on it. Also, my fiance would likely call me "Casey" when being interviewed, since he is not accustomed to saying Cassandra (he does know my real name though). Would this cause a problem with the consulate employee who performs the interview?
