Hi,

I have filed for both my parents and the case is now at NVC. I am working on the I-864 and I-864A (my husband is joint sponsor).

I hope you all can help me with a few questions that I have in regards to both forms:

I-864:

Question #8: I currently DO NOT work and my husbands income will be used to support both my parents. Do I put yes or no? Do I also check box question #9 and list my other parent in box A?

On question #25 it wants the total income. Since my husband and I file jointly, do I put OUR total income for all 3 years or do I ONLY put my indivual income for all 3 years?

Also, do I just make 2 copies of the exact I-864 form that I fill out or do I fill out 2 separate ones for each parent and just switch the names of parent on the pertaining questions?

I-864A:

Question #11: same question as above, does my husband now put total income for himself or OUR total income on tax transcipt as we filed jointly?

Quesstion #13: my husband will put both my parents name in A and B, correct?

Also, do I just make 2 copies of the exact I-864A form that I fill out or do I fill out 2 separate ones for each parent and just switch the names of parent on the pertaining questions?

Thanks all!

hello

actually i am working on the same thing right now. and i have similar questions but i can answer some of your question.

Question#8 on I-864 you have to go with YES. becasue you are the primary sponsor. and your husband will be the supporting sponsor(i-864A).

Question #25 i have the same question. me and my wife are filled jointley. do i have to put her w-2 income or do i have to put our joint income. If i go with Adjusted gross Income(AGI) on tax form than it will be the same for i-864 and i-864A.

for your last question in I-864A you just change the name and of intending immigrant in question 13 A and leave everything same.

i am looking for some asnwer to income question too.

i own convenient store and my wife works under me and she does not have enoght to be a sponsor. so i am backing her up with my store profit which goes to me. for example wife income W-2 about $4500/year. my income W-2 aobut 11,000/year. but my yearly income with profit is between $50,000 to $85,000 on tax paper. this is just a example i am not putting my real income.

how do i put this on i-864(Wife) federal tax information and i-864A(ME) federal tax information . how do i put this in 3 years income. all my 3year income are similar.

do i put our joint income or do i have to break it-down to w-2 and put saperate income for i-864 and i-864A.

thanks in advance.

thanks for your help!

I called NVC last week and they told me to put individual income. So, on I-864 question 25 you will put your wife's income and then on I-864 question 24b, you will put your income there. And then, on I-864A, you will put your individual income
