NVC to Manila Embassy

I called NVC almost 2 weeks ago and made an inquiry about our case. They said it was forwarded on May 13, and gave me the MNL#. 11 days have passed and still the embassy does not have our case in their system. I already paid the visa fee and now I CANNOT schedule an appointment coz it says "case type not valid". Whats the best thing to do? Proceed to medical without an appointment?

I would have your fiance call the USEM in Manila. The call center is the correct place to contact them. Get the number off of the US State Dept website. The USEM has Filipinos manning the phones until very late and she will be able to easily find out the status and most likely make the appointment, IF she has paid the Visa Fee. Have her pay the fee now, wait three days and have her contact the call center to make the appointment. At least that is what I did. My fiance made four appointments, one for her and one for each of her three kids. We did not know the status either, but we figured they should have the case after having left the NVC two weeks prior. Sorry I do not know the call center number of the top of my head. Good Luck

I will try to call again later today. Am pretty sure they have it there according to the DHL tracking website. She paid it on the 20th. Did she go to her medical exam before scheduling an appointment?

I am having this exact problem now. My case has been confirmed leaving NVC on May 13th. I called the US no. to make the appointment and the first call told me they verified the payment was made, but case was not found and more than likely needed to be uploaded to the system so I could schedule online. I tried the next day, and called again and this time the cleark said unable to find the payment, but was escalated to a supervisor and call again in 4 days. So I am waiting till Friday and then call again and see what happens. I am in stuck mode I guess because until they place the file from NVC into their system, nothing can be scheduled yet. I also was told by some here that they never received any letter confirming they received it, but was able to schedule online anyways. I emailed a copy of the bank receipt to ivmanilareplies@state.gov with a request to check my case number.

..Oh well... I knew this was going too smooth.. Murphy just had to visit...

How did you get the DHL tracking of the case files from NVC? Is this avail from the operator?

In our case it took 2 weeks from estimated receipt at the embassy, so you should be in any day now. Just keep trying to book online.
