hi... i needed some information on this.I received my i-751 receipt stating that my conditional resident status is extended for a period of one year,During which i am authorised employment and travel..

I have completed my biometrics and have not received my green card.

The thing is I would have to travel outside the country for personal reasons. Is there a risk in doing so as i havent received my green card yet.

You should be fine, when exiting and entering the US. But at times the immigration authorities from other countries look at your documents suspiciously and bother you if you donot hold your valid Green Card in hand. I traveled to my homecountry and on my way back,

I felt the pinch when I showed the immigration authorities the stamped Version of my residency in the passport, instead of my green card. Had I not produced my conditional green card after five minutes, I was sure they would have detained me and made me miss my flight. So you never know. The law of this land says, its Ok.....but where you are going....you dont know how you will be treated.

Good Luck!
