Hello everyone!

I need some advice on the course of action.

According to the consulate, packet 3 was sent on 5/9 but fiancee has not received it. It has been 12 days.

My fiancee can print packet 3 forms and take them to the consulate her self.

Supposedly after packet 3 is received, packet 4 will be sent.

How can I find out if packet 4 has been sent out and the interview date?

Is this something that the DOS/NVC would know and can tell me?

I'm worried about my fiancee not getting packet 3 or 4.

Any information on this would be really appreciated.

Thanks much!

She can fax , email mail or hand deliver pkt 3... after that you start calling DoS each week to get a status update.. they will tell you when pkt 4 has been sent and what the interview date is... if she does not get pkt 4 within a few weeks of them sending it.. she needs to go get a copy so she can get the medical done..

Kris - Packets are what the consulate sends beneficiary for interview among other things.

Thanks much for everyone that provided some feedback.

It's always appreciated!

Have you tried e-mailing the Consulate? We e-mailed the Consulate when we did not receive packet 3, and they essentially e-mailed me, the petitioner packet 3. A few days later we received packet 3 in the mail. We did the same thing with packet 4 when we were coming up to the 3 months mark and we did not get packet 4 yet. They usually respond within 1-2wks. whenever we e-mailed them. Good luck!

My email to the consulate of 4/12 was responded to on 5/15... don't count on a speedy response from them.. this is why I advised calling DoS directly...

HFHI - How long did you wait for packet 3? How about Packet 4?

Thanks!

NVC said they sent our case to VN 7/26, we didn't get anything by mid-August so we started emailing the Consulate. We got a response one week later notifying us that they were looking into our inquiry, and the following week they sent me the electronic version of packet 3 via email and the beneficiary the hardcopy packet. We have always had luck with emailing the Consulate, we always got a response within a week. That was the only time that it took them 2wks to respond to us.
