OH NO!

I'm afraid I mailed my application to the wrong address! The PO I had for Texas was 852211.

It seems that is wrong.

Please tell me it'll still get there!!!

I looked it up the PO box number you used is for "Document Shredders Inc."

Just kidding, I think it will probably get there, Im sure the post office staff handle lots of mail to that PO.

Best of luck!

Ok, I figured that it can still get to them but I just checked my tracking number on the certified mail receipt and it does not say the application was received.

So I am worried.

The good thing is that I wrote K-1:129F on the envelope so let's hope that helps...

*Fingers crossed*

madavis,

Did you use the correct zip code, and write that zip code legibly? If yes the sorting machines will get it there, no human will look at it.

Yea,

I had the entire USCIS address spelled out and the correct zip code (75185).

I would think it'd get there....the delay makes me a little bit pissed though...

I feel bad.

If you used the right full zip code (the whole nine digits), that code takes you right to that P.O. Box. (If you look, you'll see that the last 6 digits of the ZIP code are the same as the P.O. Box. That's not always how the code works, exactly, but it's close enough.)

The machines sort off the ZIP code; you should be okay if you got that right. And the post office is pretty good about catching errors, anyway. I once sent a package to Canada and completely botched the postal code -- I had an S where there was a 5, and it worked out.

I had the first digits correct.

The last 4 were wrong because the post office box number was wrong. I'm afraid it doesn't exist anymore.

I did write K-1: I-129F on the front of the envelope.

I hope they help me out!!
