Interview date is fast approaching and trying to make sure we have all of our ducks in a row so to speak. We have all of the original documents that they are asking for on the interview letter and also the following

1. 3 years tax returns and the transcripts

2. current tax return where I filed married and joint

3. 6 months bank statements

4. 6+ months pay stubs plus a letter of employment

5. sampling of chat logs, emails, sms etc.

6. EOR letter from me

7. Letter regarding my past marriage

8. Certified copies of divorce papers (with the state seal, apostile certificate and a certificate from the chinese consulate in Houston).

9. Past Travel receipts for flights and hotels with copies of bank/cc statments showing the payment for the trip.

10. she will take my passport in to the interview with her showing all the entry/exit stamps

11. Copy of mortgage and utility bills to show that I live in the US.

12. Pictures of us together from all of our trips, including pictures with her family - only about 20. (I have hundreds of pictures of her, but keep forgetting to get pictures together).

Also, sent her a cheat sheet of info about me, my parents, siblings, my work, income, hobbies, car, house and anything else I could think of and also a list of interview questions that I found here on VJ. I do have one past arrest from 20 years ago for mail fraud. Just probation for this and she knows all about it but not sure if it will come up in the interview or if I should bring anything(too late to get court records now).

14 days to go and I'm a nervous wreck

Anything else I should include? anything to watch out for or questions to be ready for?

When I was getting my stuff together to get married I had to have the affidavit of single status certified by the consulate in Houston. I went ahead and got a copy of my divorce decree from the county and sent it to Austion to be notarized with the apostile cert and had these forwarded to the consulate also. The consulate attached their "certificate" to both the affidavite of single status and the divorce decree. The package I sent to USCIS included a copy with the seal stamped on it, but not apostilized or certified. I'm assuming this went to the NVC and the consulate also.

Yes she has all the white books for police check, birth certficate and marriage certificate (had to send one set of these with my taxes for the ITIN :bonk: )

and we have the original I-864 and DS-230. I'm bringing all the NOA's from USCIS and the RFE for the divorce decree as well. About the only thing I don't have the originals is the Bio sheets and original I-130.

Packet 3 supplement page - that was collected at NVC, and is used at GUZ IV prior to interview day (cause it's in the casefile, a VO will review it prior to interview day)

IMO, it's not needed ON interview day, at all.

Ah good points. I forgot that I included a copy of my will and the statement from my IRA naming her as beneficiary. I will add the p3 page.

You can add her as beneficiary to your IRA even before marriage? I am just surprised because the university policy I have made me jump through hoops to add her even after we were married. Also, I don't think that this is needed for the consulate stage, but save it for your AOS stateside. Good luck, bro!

Absolutely. Banks, Insurance, IRA. she is beneficiary for all of these and as executor of my estate in the will. They didn't ask for any kind of SSN so it was pretty straightforward. Actually getting the money is a different story but that isn't a concern. Yeah I know most of this is for the AOS later, but better to have it now and not need it. Thanks. 2 weeks and the immigration side will be done with.
