Just a quick timeline:

1) Arrived on K1 to US April 29th (Friday)

2) Applied for SSN - May 2nd (Monday). Told within 10 business days should receive SS card

3) Got married - May 4th. Changed her last name to mine

4) Got joint account, joint credit card, joint lease on new last name

5) Submitted AOS package May 17th on a new last name.

Still have not received SS card

Net - all the US-based documents (crdeit cards, bank account, marriage certificate) is on new name. Her russian passport and russian driver's license that she currently uses are on her old name. Our car insurance is still made to her old last name since we bought her a car and insurance before marriage. TOTAL MESS. What should we do:

go to SS office and ask for where her card is? Should we change her name at the time of the visit (marriage certificate states change of name)? Should she carry copy of our marriage certificate with her at all times in case they ask for ID at the stores? Please, advice!

Thank you for your response. Question: in this case should we change the name on the spot then?
