My fiance had his interview (and was approved :) ) I had heard that the courier service gave a tracking number when you paid for the courier, but he wasn't given one, and was told they would email it to him. its two days later and he still has no email from them, and when i call them they just say they have no record of a delivery scheduled for his address. anyone else experiencing this???

That sounds a bit odd as before you leave the Embassy you give them your pink slip which you fill in with delivery details and your mobile number. When you pay for Courier they print off a receipt and the tracking number is on the receipt. Why did they say they would email it. Did he pay on the day for the Courier service?

he paid for the courier service but their printer for the receipt was not working. ugh.

We had a similar experience. The computers were down and they gave a sorta hand written receipt. I called and the number on the hand written receipt wasn't a valid number they said.

They can find you by address. Never did get a text, but they did tell us it was on the truck for delivery that day. If they show nothing for your address, it's likely the visa hasn't been turned over to them yet. You can find out from DOS if the visa has been printed.

thanks :) its kind of a moot point now though because theyre letting him pick up his stuff at the embassy on monday so he can make his flight tuesday...

Oh, that's good to know that they'll make a rare exception if it's urgent... I'm a little nervous because my husband's flight is only 9 days after the interview, although I think CR-1/IR-1 visas get sent back pretty quickly. Did you have to call to get the email code in order to contact them and make this arrangement?

USCIS – 171 days
08.03.2010: Sent I-130 (Received at Chicago Lockbox on 08.05.2010 – Priority Date)
08.24.2010: NOA1 – Notice Date (Case transferred from CSC to TSC on 11.02.2010 and back to CSC on 02.07.2011)
02.11.2011: NOA2 – Approved! (hard copy received on 02.17.2011)

NVC – 46 days
02.26.2011: Got NVC case number from AVR (entered on 02.24.2011)
02.28.2011: Called operator to give email addresses and get IIN; emailed beneficiary's change of address and DS-3032; received instruction emails from NVC; AOS fee bill invoiced and paid
03.01.2011: AOS fee shown as "paid"
03.03.2011: DS-3032 accepted; beneficiary's address updated by NVC; IV fee bill invoiced and paid
03.07.2011: IV fee shown as "paid"; AOS and IV packets sent out together via USPS Priority Mail (delivered on 03.09.2011)

Yeah, but keep in mind, this was after i had both a senator and a representative call and email london in one day.... so having a good working relationship with your reps before you get to this point is a HUGE help...
