All I know is, once you have your 2-year GC, theres no need for employment authorization.

You don't need too.

The green card authorizes you to work.

Applying for EAD with the green card usually allows you to work BEFORE you get the green card IF its approved before hand.

EAD is not valid after you get the green card because the green card IS the main piece that allows you to work and travel.

So if you don't intend to work right away you don't need an EAD. After you get the green card you can work or not work.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

You apply for EAD to be able to work while your AOS is pending. Once you get your green card you can work.

But yes, if for some reason you still need to apply for EAD you can do it later. Just follow the filing instructions that come with the form.
