How is the Medical valid for?

Hi VJers,

This has been an awesome site with tons of knowledgeable members. My question to those members is: How long is the Medical Exam (for K-1) valid for? And how long is the approved visa "valid" (before entering the US)?

Here's the background: I'm getting my interview in Vancouver Canada. I've done my medical (passed), scheduled and paid for my interview date. But due to a ton of reasons (mainly because I have a ton of non-emergency travel), I would like to get my visa later and I'm now considering postponing/delaying my interview, so that I get my visa later and I can enter (and stay put) the US after my necessary travel.

So being that I've done the medical already, how long is the pre-interview medical exam results valid for? And my related question, I know the K-1 is valid for 90 day stay in the US, but how long is the approved K-1 visa valid for before I "must" enter the US?

Check where you got your medical done but it's usually valid for 12 months.

You have 6 months to activate your visa.
