Getting the Visa from Guangzhou

Quick question. Assuming we get the pink slip and the visa is approved, how do we get it delivered to my wife? She has to return to Chengdu that weekend and I'm sure the visa won't be ready in just one day. She doesn't live in one of the cities covered by the China Post delivery so not sure what our options are. The consulate site says to arrange to pick it up at the Junyuan Post Office, but I can't imagine everyone can stay in Guangzhou until the visa is ready nor make a separate trip back to pick it up. I'm hoping there is another option.

she can also engage the yang's to serve as a 'visa packet forwarding service'

she'll put the yang's address in , at the ems window for delivery, inside the IV unit, on interview day, after the interview.

but

suggest she talk with Mr. or Mrs. Yang prior to interview day, so there's no surprises.

Thanks. Some people have said it can be ready as early as the next day which would be friday. Is that true? It would be great if we could pick it up before we leave Guangzhou, but I can't imagine anything in the government moving that quickly :rofl:

Alas, all suffers from a queue.

It's not just that she has an interview..

afterwards, the casefile is reviewed again, in the afternoon(maybe) and then is put into the final processing queue.

There it sits until it's turn in queue,

then it's put in the mailroom queue, where it waits a bit more.

next day? is possible, if the queue tanks are minimal, otherwise, 2 to 10 days, without any blue slips.
