Dear members,

i had fingerprints done today and i'd like to know when, aproximately, CIS will send the interview appointment letter:

2 weeks later? 30 days later?

the reason I am asking is because my roommate asked me to leave my room "in 3 monts"; so now i am

confused: should I stay until everything will be resolved (received appointment letter and final decision letter)

or should I just leave asap? ( I am afraid the appointment letter will be sent to the old address)

can anyone pls advice on this situation?

thank you

My interview was about a month and a half later than the biometrics, so I think you should be fine. What is your location? You can try to do a search on this site around the timelines in your filing location to get a better idea of when the interview would be.

Need a working crystal ball with the USCIS, but more confused about your roommate, are you in college? If that was the case, should use your parents home as the permanent address.

I had roommates before, they never told me when to leave. As pointed out in another recent post, not a good idea to change your address after you sent in your application.

Thank you for your answers

Im in ny, garden city ins office, not in college but with roommate.

Now my roommate talks about leaving the apartment and i can't afford to pay full rent

So I guess ill be in some serious problem 3 months from now if I've to leave and a new tenants will come in and I may be waiting for a final decision

letter, or, even worse, a oath letter

Its not that my kids have been through that many times, ha, many kids. And as recent as my stepdaughter losing a roommate this semester. Find another! How! So I got on that Craiglist thing and found her hundreds, take your choice.

A lot easier to deal with that than the USCIS. I am not nebulous on changing districts during an application, your're meat, but a bit nebulous about moving to a different apartment across the hall.
